Heather Sittig has worked in the real estate industry for the past 16 years and has experience in commercial real estate, residential real estate, mortgage lending and real estate development.  In 2002 Heather founded Maison Nouveau Real Estate in Berkeley, which she merged with San Francisco based McGuire Real Estate in March 2009.

Heather believes that excellent customer service is the most important feature of any business model.  She strives to provide unparalleled service to buyers and sellers of residential properties in the bay area.  Her exceptional marketing skills and negotiation savvy set her apart among her peers.  Heather has sold hundreds of bay area homes, and has a keen knowledge of the bay area market.

As a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Berkeley Association of Realtors, the San Francisco Association of Realtors, and the North Bay Association of Realtors, Heather is well versed in the nuances of bay area real estate whether it be a SOMA Loft or a Wine Country estate.  She is well educated in local ordinances through out the bay area, from the Underground Storage Tank requirements in San Francisco, the Sewer Lateral Ordinance in Berkeley, Measure EE in Oakland, to the Z Overlay in Sonoma County.  You can rely on Heather’s expertise to ensure you transaction does not meet any unexpected surprises.

Heather’s real estate experience goes beyond selling homes.  She deeply understands buildings and the legal aspects of property ownership.  Heather has condo converted a building in Berkeley, obtained a zoning variance for a commercial building in Oakland, installed a pool in the wine country, and renovated numerous properties.  This level of understanding of building codes, zoning implications, and city and county procedures enables Heather to provide a deeper level of service, and to help her clients see potential problems and most importantly find their solutions.

Heather moved to the Bay Area after attending the University of Washington because she loves the architecture, people, and natural beauty of the region. In her free time she enjoys renovating homes, traveling the world, reading, eating, and spending time with her family and friends.  Heather Sittig lives in the Berkeley hills with her two young daughters and two Labrador retrievers.
